Administrator

Epoch are looking for a bright, conscientious individual to provide administrative support to the team. The ideal candidate will have at least one years’ experience in an office role. This role will be varied and would suit an individual who wishes to work for a company that will support and provide career progression in the financial sector.

This is a full time role working 35 hours a week,  Monday to Friday, 9-5 with an hour for lunch 

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Answering the telephone and directing calls.
  • Collating and binding documents for meetings.
  • Distributing and franking post.
  • Monitoring stationary levels.
  • Preparing refreshments for meetings.
  • Providing general administration support to the team.
  • Liaising with product providers.
  • Collating information for the production of client valuations as required.
  • Arranging Travel
  • Providing support to the Finance Officer including commission reconciliation
  • Typing, data entry, maintaining registers and client information database

In addition the candidate will have:

  • A friendly and professional demeanour.
  • A pass at grade ‘C’ or above in G.C.S.E. Maths and English
  • An equivalent qualification to ‘A’ Level or above.
  • Have a minimum one year’s experience in an office/administrative role
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Good communication skills.
  • An ability to react to varying situations.
  • A can do attitude.
  • The ability to multi task.
  • An organised and methodical persona.

New Business Compliance Specialist

Epoch Wealth Management is an award winning Financial Services Wealth Planning IFA Practice actively looking to recruit a skilled New Business Compliance Specialist, preferably with the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning with experience of working within a Compliance Regulatory role within an IFA.

The key competencies in the role are as follows:-

  • 1.To accurately assess the suitability of advice given by Advisers against the standards set by the Company.
  • 2.To assess the clarity, accuracy and adequacy of Adviser documentation and record keeping against the standards set by the Company.
  • 3.To issue clear and accurate feedback confirming any required remedial actions necessary to avoid negative consumer outcomes.
  • 4.To ensure that any required remedial actions are completed by Advisers within acceptable timescales.
  • 5.To maintain knowledge of the Company's compliance procedures and relevant Regulatory Rules.
  • 6.To maintain the technical knowledge necessary to assess the suitability of advice provided by advisers across the range of products and services offered by the Company.
  • 7.Ability to identify and report potential cases of financial crime.
  • 8.To maintain records to the standards necessary to demonstrate Adviser and departmental performance.
  • 9.To effectively communicate with and deal with queries raised by Supervisors.
  • 10.To meet the departmental standards with regard to service standards and productivity.

  • Investigating and assessing suitability and quality of advice
  • Provision of clear and concise feedback
  • Good communication skills including writing, presenting and influencing
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships while at the same time remaining impartial
  • Ability to ensure that identified remedial actions are followed through
  • FCA Objectives, Principles and COBs Rules
  • Personal Financial Planning – taxation and products
  • Corporate Financial Planning – taxation and products

    You must be able to also demonstrate, experience in a compliance or advisory role within an FCA-regulated retail environment. Recognised professional qualifications equivalent to FPC are mandatory.

    Willingness to work towards CII Diploma or equivalent and any Regulatory RDR qualification requirements
